Tomato Pulissery.
Pulissery or Morru Curry....My all time favourite :) In my home morru curry is not a special dish.. Everyday my mom used to make pulissery cuz I love this dish very much..We can make pulissery with Banana (both raw and ripe),Pineapple,Ashgourd etc.. Here I used Tomatos and is very easy to make in less time...
Tomatoes - 2 nos.
Coconut - 1/2 cup.
Green chillies - 2
Shallots - 1 or 2 ( optional ).
Cumin seeds - a pinch.
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp.
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp.
Beaten Yoghurt - 1/2 cup ( Add water to make semi thick consistency ).
Salt - as reqd.
Mustard seed and 2 dreid red chillies for seasoning.
Few curry leaves.
Method :
In a pan boil cut tomatoes with little water, salt.turmeric powder and chilli powder. Grind coconut along with cumin seeds, green chillies, shallots, salt with enough water to make a fine paste. When the tomatos get cooked, add this coconut paste, mix and boil for 2 mns or until it gets little thick..Then add the beaten yoghurt to this and stir well in low flame..Do not let the yoghurt to boil..Stir well. Switch off the flame and keep it aside..In another pan season the mustard seeds with dried red chillies and curry leaves..Pour the seasoning to the curry..Serve hot with Rice.
Say Cheese!!!
Parvathy :)
