Jeera rice is one of the most simplest of all the flavoured rices..It is one of the best coz it can serve with any mild or spicy curries like chicken, dal etc..Here is the recipe for simple and delicious Jeera Rice.
Basmati rice/white raw rice - 1 cup.
Water - 2 cups.
Cumin seeds/ Jeera -2 tsp.
Green chillies - 3-4 nos.
Ghee - 2 tsp.
Turmeric powder - a pinch for colour or yellow food colour.
Salt to taste and Few coriander leaves.
Method :
Heat Ghee in a pan,put cumin seeds and fry little.Add chopped green chillies and few coriander leaves.Saute for 2 sec.Put salt as required and add a pinch of turmeric powder.Pour water and when the water comes to boil finally add rice and cover it with a lid..Let it Cook in low flame for 5 mins or until all the water get evaporated.Mix well and serve hot with curry....Enjoy :)
