Happy Diwali To All!!!
For this Diwali I would like to share one sweet..Kesari, a sweet which is normally used to make for Tamil brahmin marriages.For me, its my Mom's special..Actually I didn't like much sweet..But Kesari I can eat at any time..And this is very simple and easy to prepare..I hope u will enjoy it!!!
Rava(sooji) - 1 cup
Sugar -1 cup
Milk -2 cups
yello color - a pinch( instead of food color we can use a pinch of turmeric pdr) for color.
Ghee -1/4 cup
Cashewnuts and kissmiss for garnishing.
Preparation:
1. Heat a pan and fry rava.( do not allow to change the color)
2. Add sugar and mix well for 2-3 mns.
3. Add 2 cups milk,boil and keep mixing till it gets thick.
4. To this add 2 tsp ghee and mix well.
5. After some time it will get harder to mix,then switch off the flame.
6. Fry nuts and kissmiss in ghee. and mix it well with the kesari.
7. Grease one pan with ghee and move keasri to this pan and set with a spoon.
8. Keep aside for cooling..Kesari is ready.
After cooling cut it into squares and enjoy.Hope u all will love it...
