Sambar.



Toor dal - 1 cup
small onions - 4 nos.
Vegetables - 2 cup ( potato,tomato,ladies finger,cucumber,drumstick,carrot,beans & more if u want ).
Tamarind juice - 2 tsp.
Green chillies - 3 nos.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli powder - 1 tsp.
coriander powder - 1 tsp.
Sambar masala - 2 tsp.
Asafoetadia - 1/2 tsp.
Mustard seeds and dried red chillies for seasoning.
Salt to taste 
Curry leaves.

Method :
Cook toor dal in a pressure cooker with salt,turmeric powder and asafoetadia..Soak tamarind in little water to make juice.Cook all vegetables with salt,green chillies and small onions.After it cooked well add these vegetables to the cooked toor dal and stir well in medium flame.Heat oil in a pan, add chilli pdr,coriander pdr, sambar pdr and slghtly heat till the raw smell goes off. Then add this powders to the sambar and mix well..Adjust Salt.Splutter mustard seeds with red chillies and few curry leaves and pour it over the sambar..Enjoy Sambar with Idly, dosa or Rice.
