Kappa puzhukku(Tapioca) .

Kappa puzhukku wit meen curry!!!!Hmmmm..My all time favourite :) I think there is no need of any introduction for kappa puzhukku to those who live in God's own Country!!!This is a very common and popular food item in Kerala....Kappa puzhukku with our naadan fish curry s the greatest combination..and veges may have varieties of chutneys..like mulak chammanthi(chutney) or Onion chutneys..And here Im sharing a simple recipe for wonderful dish....


Tapoica - 1lb( cut in small pieces)
Coconut-1/2 cup
Shallots -5 nos
Green chillies-4 nos
Garlic pods -3 nos
Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
Turmeric pdr-1/2 tsp
Oil               -2 tsp.
Few Curry leaves and salt as reqd.

Method :
Cook Tapioca pieces with salt and turmeric powder in a pressure cooker till it is done.Drain off excess water.Grind coconut along with shallots, garlic pods,cumin seeds,little salt and water to make a fine paste.Heat a pan, add cooked tapioca and heat well then add coconut paste to it and mix well.Allow it to cook.Stir well till all the water gets evaporated and it becomes dry..Finally add Oil and few curry leaves to it.
Kappa puzhukku is ready.Serve warm with meen curry (fish).
