Chicken Ularthiyathu!!!!
Ingredients for Marinating Chicken :
Chicken - 1 lb.
Chilli powder - 2 tsp.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
Coriander powder- 1 tsp.
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp.
Salt as rqd.
For Grinding :
Coconut - 1/2 cup.
Onion - 1-2 no.
Ginger - 1 tsp.
Garlic - 4 nos.
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp.
Chilli powder - 1 tsp.
Coriander powder - 1 tsp.
Pepper powder - 1/4 tsp.
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp.
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp.
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp.
Salt as reqd.
Cloves - 4 nos.
Preparation :
Marinate chicken pieces with all the ingredients and Keep it for atleast half an hour..Crush or grind the coconut and onion with the ingredients given...(No need to make a paste mixture).
Mix the crushed coconut mixture and the marinated chicken...
Heat 4 tsp oil in a pan or Kadai..Spread the oil all over the pan..Put the chicken mix in to it..Saute for a minute and cover it with a lid..Keep it in low flame for 5 mins..Let the pieces to cook well..Open the lid and
Mix it well...Keep it for 45-60 mins to get cooked or till it turns the colour to Dark brown..Adjust Salt..Do not cover it with lid..Mix it in between..Do not allow to burn...Add oil if needed..When it is done..Finally add 2 tsp oil for finishing..Switch off the flame and transfer it to the serving Plate..Garnish with Onion,tomato or curry leaves..Serve hot with rice or Chappathi...........
